TESS GIRARD is a Prince Edward County-based filmmaker and cinematographer. Girard's work lies somewhere between documentary and experimental, exploring subject matter from a philosophical perspective with techniques that compel audiences to engage in the work on a highly personal level.

Tess has collaborated with many renowned artists, including Peter Mettler (Gambling, Gods and LSD), Ryan J Noth (A Tomb With A View), Andrea Nann (Dreamwalker Dance), Charles Spearin and other members of Do Make Say Think, and with the Art of Time Ensemble on the productions of both "The War of the Worlds” and “Russia in Exile”. Recently Girard was co-director of the relaunch of Historica Canada’s Heritage Minutes series, and created the radio documentary The Heart of The Beat for CBC’s IDEAS.
