FIFTH TOWN FILMS is a multi-media production company that reflects the Canadian landscape through award-winning hybrid combinations of documentary, fiction, and interactive media. With over ten years of production experience, FTF was established as a partnership between collaborators Ryan J. Noth and Tess Girard in 2012, and is based in a century-old carriage house in historic Prince Edward County, Ontario. Previous projects by both Ryan and Tess have premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, SXSW, Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, and across Canada. Recent work includes the short films The Road to Webequie (2016, TIFF, CSA Nominee),  Beyond The Horizon (TIFF 2015), Old Growth (TIFF; TIFF Top 10, 2012) and A Tomb With A View (TIFF, VIFF, Hamburg, 2014). Past work includes collaboration with a wide range of artists, from dancer Andrea Nann, to musicians Paul Aucoin, Gord Downie, Sarah Harmer, Andrew Whiteman, Charles Spearin, and Jim Guthrie. FTF most recently completed the BravoFactual short documentary The Road To Webequie (2016), and the Heritage Minute on Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak. Tess recently completed her debut feature documentary As The Crow Flies with the National Film Board, while Ryan is in development on the documentary The Future's Past.
